#8 of 15 CoQ10--ubiquinone or ubiquinol
I apologize for the sheer and utter lack of any posts over the last few months. I have been seriously dedicated to my new online business The LeakyGut Solution and studying for a Functional Medicine exam. Check out https:www.leakygut-solution.com for more info on this AWESOME program. (another post will be dedicated to this soon).
Why is it important?
CoQ10 is vitally important for mitochondrial health. Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cells making ATP for energy. The more active the tissue or organ is in the body, the more mitochondria can be found in the cells. A lack of CoQ10 can lead to devastating consequences. Your heart is the greatest utilizer of CoQ10 and CoQ10 has been shown to decrease heart-failure sequelae if taken over extended periods of time.
Congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension,
fatigue, gingivitis, immune system dysregulation, angina, kidney failure, increased risk of stroke, mitral valve prolapse
What is it found in?
Whole grains, oily fish and organ meats, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, oranges, and strawberries.
